The Lutheran West Wrestling camp is designed to prepare athletes of all ages and skill levels for success. Instruction, which will center around the fundamentals, will be conducted by Camp Director Josh Malave and selected staff members.

Session 1 is geared toward athletes who are entering grades K-8. Experienced athletes are welcome to join Session 2 with approval. All athletes should bring a water bottle, proper footwear, headgear, and athletic apparel.

Josh Malave ‘08 concluded his second season as the Head Coach/Program Director for the Longhorns. Prior to his time at Lutheran West, he was the head coach at Case Western Reserve University (2021-2023) and the University of Mount Union (2016-2021). Before his stint as a college coach, he was the head coach at Firelands High School (2013-2016) and an assistant coach for Union Pines High School, NC (2012-2013). He was the Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2020, the Lorain County Coach of the Year in 2014-2015, and the Patriot Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2015-2016. As an athlete, Malave was a DIII All-American in 2012. He finished third in the state as a high school senior for Dave Ressler.
